Be filled with awe and wonder at God's amazing love and keep joy in your heart. The reflections today discussed encountering Jesus for the first time. I have sat here trying to recall my first instance where I encountered Jesus and I come up blank. He has always been in my life; however he has been most present and I knew without a doubt he was beside me in my times of darkness, pain, trials, and sadness. This is not to say he wasn't with me in the joy, happiness, and the light either it just means I felt him more in the dark. This is probably because I reached out to him and cried for his mercy and grace. I have had many encounters with Jesus. Actually every day I encounter him. I hear him in my heart and I have strengthened my relationship with him. I try and talk to him about everything going on in my life some days I'm better than others but this reflection reminds me Jesus has been with me along.
