Finding My Purpose and My Strength

"The Joy of the Lord is your Strength". (Nehemiah 8:10)

What are you searching for? What is the purpose and meaning of your life? Those were the 2 questions I reflected on this morning. The will of God can sometimes be very confusing to me. I want to do God's will and feel like some days I know exactly what that is.  While other days I'm like a fish floundering out of water. I wish there was a daily set of instructions that told me exactly what was needed of me with sequential steps to make it easy. But why would God do that? If I had clear, step-by step instructions how much would I really communicate with him? How often would I lift my eyes upward to God looking for him, if he delivered his will for me on a silver platter daily. No he wants me to seek him, seek his will and guidance and the only way I can do that is by conversing with him. Praying to him for his help. Leaning on him and his strength and not my own. What is your purpose? Do you seek God's will first before making any decisions? Today I encourage each of us to seek God's will. Ask him to open your eyes and the doors it will take to accomplish his will. To make his presence known in our lives and lead us to our purpose and meaning for life. May God bless each of us with open hearts ready to seek his will even if what he asks of us is hard…remember the joy of the Lord will be your strength.

Keep on trucking
