Digging into God’s Word

"Nothing Can Separate Us from God's Love - What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?" (Romans 8:31-32) "

The words that I saw over and over again today in the readings were faith, hope, and love. The reflection was for me to live, grow, and persevere in faith to the end I must be obedient in nourishing it with God's word. Pondering on this got me to thinking. The absolute best and most peace filled times in my life have started when I make the commitment to get into God's word. When I take the 5, 10 or even 30 minutes of silence to read and hear what he is leading me to do, It increases my love for others and anchors my hope to his promises. When I live in this world worried only about myself and neglect/ ignore his calling to get into his word, my life is filled with chaos, uncertainty, and fear. Heck sometimes even in his word, I feel these things. So how bad would it be without my obedient yes to read his word. Are you in his word? Do you sit quietly and wait for him to talk? If not, no worries you can start right now. I encourage you to start today. It is not always easy but I have found nothing in life is easy and the best things I have been given in my life, came through diligence and hard work on my part, and a whole lot of strength and courage provided from up above. Start today. Set a small window of time aside and crack open the bible, crack open a meditation book of someone else who has gotten into God's word. Maybe read a psalms or one of the gospels or a combo. Then sit and reflect on a word or theme you pick up. Ask God to open your heart and mind to what he is revealing. Watch his amazing grace and wait for his answer. If he is for us, who can be against us? May God bless you with the grace and willingness to seek him always.

Keep on trucking.
